Why This Session Exists
USP project consequences do not announce themselves in advance.
A poorly drafted proposal. A NoA filed away without being read accurately. A team managing a regulated project the way they would manage a commercial one. None of these feel like critical errors at the time. They surface later, as audit findings, claim rejections, breach notices, and project delays that were entirely avoidable.
What is missing is not capability. It is awareness. Awareness of what experienced practitioners look for, where organisations commonly make mistakes, and what project teams should pay attention to before issues become findings, disputes, or delays.

Amelda spent more than 22 years inside Telekom Malaysia, among Malaysia's largest recipients of USP funding, with direct involvement in USP projects spanning more than a decade. Her exposure covers the full project lifecycle from proposal development and NoA interpretation through to project implementation, stakeholder engagement, site execution, claims management, and audit preparation.
Her USP project experience covers fixed network deployment, submarine cables including the Sistem Kabel Rakyat Malaysia (SKRM) project, wireless systems, 5 islands connectivity, community centre infrastructure and programmes, and other funded projects awarded to the company. She has worked directly with MCMC across project management, site verification, and audit engagements, and has first-hand knowledge of the recurring failures, compliance gaps, documentation weaknesses, and stakeholder challenges that characterise USP project delivery.
